About the Book

Gina Genius is a character with an immense amount of knowledge. Her goal is to teach everyone she can so that they might make educated decisions on their own. You can never know too much.

The book is designed as a parallel to a classroom. With chalk colored smudges on a dark green chalkboard background, it really pulls through that it is a education piece. A key feature in this book is the interactive pages. Although they may not be animated, they still hold a certain creative aspect to the reader. While reading, the author made sure to include these pages to ensure the educational learning skill was retained.

Hand drawn images helps depict the information in each page to help younger audiences understand a little bit better.

About the Author

I grew up in what once was a small town, Stafford, Virginia. From a young age, I have alway been getting into something, whether it was paint, chalk, glue, or construction paper. I was alway full of ideas.

When I went to high school, I elected to take a graphic communications class and ended up loving it. It involved everything I love about art, but in a new light. It was the reason I decided to major in Graphic Design when I went to college.

I attended Northern Virginia Community College while working part time at Dominos™ in 2011. It was nowhere near what I wanted to do with my life, but it allowed me  to support myself in the mean time. During those years in school, I was in art shows, internships, and unfortunately physical education classes, where I also got to play tennis, which was an upside to the P.E.

I graduated NOVA with an A.A.S in Communication Design 3 years later. I was lucky enough to start working with Lowe's™ after I graduated which allowed me to grow in ways I never thought I would. Experience was the key.

But that was also when I fell ill and was diagnosed with diabetes. Like any bad news would do to someone, I struggled with life. I was determined not to be limited, though. Before falling ill, I knew what I wanted to accomplish.

In hindsight, becoming diabetic helped push me to actually achieve my goal. With support from family and friends, and even co-workers, I pushed myself to the limit and benefited far beyond my beliefs.

Today, I continue to work on book ideas and illustrations while working a full time job (still) at Lowe's™. But the real fun begins on my down time.

I have way more to come your way, so stay tuned.
