The audience for this kind of book is children between the ages of four and eight. To appeal to such a young age, illustrated characters and backgrounds are ideal. The cover depicts the country side in the foreground where the city landscape is further back to portray the title well. A pastel color scheme for the backgrounds are used to keep it light and airy, while bolder colors help differentiate the two opposite characters. Optima is the chosen typeface for its readability for a small print book.
