Built in England as the biggest cruise liner to date, the Titanic was heavily decorated in art deco style accents. The stamp design portrays the Titanic in an Art Deco style, leaving the harbor successfully on its ill-fated voyage. Bright and vibrant purples are used in the background to compliment the ship in the foreground. Simple shapes enhance the Art Deco style of the stamp.
